Planning a wedding can be quite difficult, especially with all the rules that come in and go out of the etiquette guide. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t keep an open mind and an open eye for the less popular, but definitely acceptable wedding ideas – such as daytime weddings, for example.
Why would you have your wedding during the day, as opposed to the evening? Even more, how to pull this off? We have some tips for you – so read on and find out more.
- A daytime wedding can be an amazing idea for a number of reasons. For starters, it will most likely cost less – so if you have a lower budget, but you don’t want to compromise on a designer wedding dress and an elegant wedding, moving it earlier in the day is a solution you should consider. Furthermore, daytime weddings are more adequate for low-alcohol or no-alcohol approaches too. Last, but definitely not least, a daytime wedding allows you to spend your first evening as a married couple together, in intimacy – even if that means taking a nap and attending the hotel spa!
- In general, the rules of planning an evening wedding apply to daytime weddings as well. You will, of course, have to get up earlier (at around 6 am) and you will wrap up everything by the time 4 pm clocks in – but other than that, you can serve a plated meal or a buffet (yes, that brunch buffet idea you’re fueling right now is excellent!), you can dance, you can serve cake, and you can have all the other special wedding moments you would if you planned an evening event.
- As for the attire, you can set your standards as high as you want and still have a formal affair. Obviously, formal daytime attire differs slightly from the formal evening attire – but that’s just perfect if you want to keep it low-key elegant.
